I went to the San Francisco farmer’s market yesterday at the Embarcadero. If you haven’t been it’s a must do in SF and happens every Saturday. It also turns out that yesterday was the start of the Nordstrom’s men’s half yearly sale and some massive Macy’s sale, so I decided to walk up Market Street to Union Square in search of no-show dress socks for summer at work.
Today’s set up is just my iPhone 4 with the Camera Plus app which I highly recommend. I spent some time looking for shots that I will want to retake with one of my film cameras later in the summer. Enjoy!
The Bay Bridge.
Office buildings on Market Street. I tried to create an interesting perspective by aligning the edge of the building with the frame of the photo.
The Contemporary Jewish Museum near Yerba Buena Park.
The lobby of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. So many photographic opportunities because of the full-height atrium, but I really liked this sculpture with the dangling lights in particular.

On Tuesday night typhoon Guchol whipped through Tokyo with sustained winds of almost 60mph. Wednesday night, this was all that was left.
A few people have requested a post on “daily life” in Tokyo so I’ll be documenting and posting within a few days.
